Time Frame: 2010 to 2013.

Location: Beirut National Museum.

Target Group: More than a thousand students from public and private schools, aged 8 to 12 years.

 

Objectives:

To enable the students to discover, in four hours, the wealth of Lebanon’s historical and archaeological heritage. Biladi uses unconventional learning methods such as manual art workshops, based on thematic tours. During these workshops, the students create their own artwork inspired by the collections of Beirut’s National Museum.

 

Outcome:

Raising awareness among young generations on heritage issues, making them discover the museum’s alphabets, art and culture, mosaics, ancient jewelry…

 

Funders: UNESCO, The Italian Cooperation, in partnership with the General Directorate of Antiquities and the ministry of Education.
